I am SO grateful for the stationary cycle that Michelle bought us for Christmas a few years ago. Real winter has, at last, arrived here ... we got several inches of snow overnight, and when I went out at 1 p.m. to do an errand, the temperature of 5° convinced me to break out my heavy winter coat for the first time!
However, I was happy to have the option of riding in warmth and comfort this morning, and so climbed on at 7:00 a.m. and pedaled away while watching The Fellowship of the Ring, the first movie of the trilogy corresponding with J.R.R. Tolkien's epic The Lord of the Rings.
This gave me a ride of 44.8 virtual miles, in 3:35.
